For Car Owners

12 questions about using QCR

Queen City Redline (QCR) is Charlotte’s AI-powered automotive platform. We provide free tools that help you understand what’s wrong with your car, what it should cost to fix in Charlotte specifically, and which local shops you can trust. We also have an AI Build Planner for enthusiasts planning vehicle modifications.

Both tools are completely free for consumers. No account required. You can use the Repair Estimator and Build Planner as many times as you want. We optionally ask for your email if you want a detailed report sent to your inbox, but basic results are always free. We make money through advertising and affiliate partnerships — never by charging consumers.

Describe what’s happening with your car in your own words — “grinding noise when braking,” “check engine light came on,” “car won’t start in the cold.” Our AI analyzes your symptoms, identifies probable causes with confidence levels, and gives you a cost range calibrated to Charlotte-area labor rates ($85–$145/hour) and local parts pricing.

Our estimates reflect Charlotte-area market data and are presented as ranges (e.g., “$180–$420 for a brake job on a 2019 Accord”). Think of them as a well-informed second opinion. They are informational, not binding quotes — an in-person inspection is always required for exact diagnosis and pricing.

Tell us your vehicle, goals (daily improvement, track car, show car, off-road), and budget. The AI generates a staged modification plan with specific parts, estimated costs, performance projections, difficulty ratings, and an install sequence. Each stage builds on the last, so you can execute the plan over time.

Every shop on QCR is a founding partner, personally vetted by our co-founder through in-shop visits. We meet the owner, evaluate their specialties, reputation, and commitment to fair pricing. We are not a directory scraped from Google.

Three things: (1) Symptom-first AI — describe what’s happening, don’t pick from a dropdown. (2) Charlotte-specific pricing calibrated to local labor rates. (3) Locally vetted shops, not paid listings.

We process the vehicle and symptom data you enter to generate your estimate. Email is optional — for sending detailed reports and our newsletter. We do not sell your personal information.

A free newsletter covering Charlotte car culture, repair tips, local events, shop spotlights, and automotive news. Sent weekly. Unsubscribe anytime with one click.

Any make and model. Our knowledge base covers domestic, import, European, and exotic vehicles. Charlotte-specific pricing applies regardless of brand.

We identify probable causes based on your symptom description and provide confidence levels. This is not a substitute for professional diagnosis — always get an in-person inspection for exact diagnosis and repair.

We’re selectively onboarding established, locally-owned Charlotte shops. Reach out at partners@queencityredline.com or DM us on Instagram @queencityredline.

For Shop Partners

8 questions about partnering with QCR

Nothing. Founding partners get everything free: a professional profile, consumer leads matched to your specialties, and access to the AI tools for your own operations.

Pre-qualified leads from consumers who have already described their problem to the AI, seen a cost range, and specifically chosen to connect with a local shop. Each lead includes an AI-analyzed diagnostic brief.

Within 2 hours during business hours. Shops that respond within minutes get priority routing for future leads.

No. Founding partnerships are informal. You can stop participating at any time.

Yes — use the Repair Estimator when a customer calls with vague symptoms. Use the Build Planner when an enthusiast asks about mod options. The tools work as consultation and quoting aids.

When a consumer uses our tools and wants to connect with a shop, we match them based on specialty, location, and availability. You receive the lead with a diagnostic brief.

After demonstrating ROI (leads sent, conversions, revenue generated), we’ll introduce modest per-lead fees at rates significantly below national alternatives like Thumbtack. Founding partners always get the best terms.

Email partners@queencityredline.com or DM @queencityredline on Instagram. Our team will set up an in-person visit.
